Deep, relatively crisp amber and copper coloured body with a pretty thin, very fast-dying tan head that caps the beer for a few seconds and fades entirely with a little haze under the surface here. Aroma of toasted grain, light citrus fruit, some hay and flowers with a lot of bready and yeast notes showing at the end and some light bitterness from the malts along with a touch of alcohol even, in the finish. Light to Medium-bodied; Pretty malty and grain-forward flavours come out at first, as you'd expect from the style, with a lot of pungency and bitterness and a light kick of lemons and cleanser towards the end, as well. Aftertaste shows some deeper and robust malt flavours with the grain, bread and even biscuity flavours really coming through near the end with some additional bitterness from light hops, a dash of hay and flowers, with some subtle caramelised sugar sweetness near the end, but not enough to surpass the deep malts and yeast here. Overall, a decent enough beer that really showcases the style nicely and provides the flavours and complexities that you'd expect for the style, but a lot of dry characteristics through that provide some pungent bitterness and complexity. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Hy-Vee [grocery] in Papillion (Omaha), Nebraska on 26-August-2021 for US$2,49 sampled at my house here in Washington just over a year later on 07-November-2022.

Can from explosivedog: pours copper with a white head. Aroma is biscuit and caramel. Taste is toasty, biscuit, some caramel or toffee or something. Solid lager.

Can. Pours deep amber. Biscuit, dried fruit, orange zest, plum, clean finish. Medium body. Decent.

Can from Tavour. Pours clear copper/amber with a large creamy/foamy white head. Malty aroma with a hint of hop. Med body or better. At the end of a quaff it was clear that whatever hop is in use is pretty much what was used in the original Olympia beer back in the '60s. Light caramel malt with hop that seems grassy. Flavors are firm. Bitter is moderate. Dry is not quite. Good drink. Surprised!
