Can from Herndon: pours light orange haze with white head. Aroma is pineapple and citrus. Taste is mellow, slightly bitter, fruity. Pretty light and not over the top in any sense.

Clear, light golden coloured body with a very thick, four to five centimetre tall pure white, almost microfoamed head that stays afloat a while - nice! Aroma of tart passionfruit, pineapple, coconut and showing some very soft malt notes along with a larger dash of pepper and super floral notes. Light-bodied; Strong grassy, perfumey and floral hops dominate in the nose with a deep and crisp malt bite that shows a very clean malt presence, all with a smooth but complex hop profile that is on the lighter side but extends in many directions. Aftertaste is crisp and very well-balanced, but given that the malt is so light and the hops underwhelming, I'd categorise this one as an APA or even a Light [session] IPA. Overall, a nice and crisp beer with a nice look, an impressive flavour profile and smooth bitterness. That said, this isn't a 'true IPA' of any type - this really is a 'Light IPA'. Nice to try from Aslin though! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 03-July-2020 for US$3,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on 10-July-2020, a week later.
