Can. A- Chocolate ice cream, subtle marshmallow, vanilla, mild booze. A- Black color, black liquid, minimal head. T- Chocolate ice cream, candied almonds, lactose, vanilla. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, sweet finish. O- Does taste like ice cream although I'd say more generic chocolate as opposed to Rocky Road. A good beer, but the 8% sweet stouts form WE just don't quite hit the awesomeness level of their big imperial stouts. Nonetheless, enjoyable.

I always look forward to sampling a beer from a brewery with which I have no previous experience with. That is the case here tonight. The brew came from a mixer of stouts obtained from Tavour. Mys son has the corresponding beer so we are doing a tasting by FaceTime. My Buffalo Bayou tulip glass is in place and I am pouring Copper Pot from the tall boy can. The delivery into the glass is an inky blackness with the barest hint of brown around the edges. The cover is a steady skim of tawny tan foam. I get a nose of marshmallow creme and cocoa, inviting. Finally I move to the drink. Hmm, really decent. Really fine. Dark chocolate, licorice, spices maybe cinnamon and cardamom, marshmallow again and rye bread. Truly goes a different direction with the taste than any other imperial stout I have had. A pleasant surprise.

Can. Pours black with a cream head. Chocolate, raspberry, sweet, vanilla, creamy, slightly metallic note. Thin body. Fine.

16oz can pours out black topped with a small tan head. Nose is sweet chocolate coffee vanilla marshmallow cream some nutty notes. Taste is more of the nice sweet chocolate light coffee plenty nuts and vanilla cream.
