Collab with Blackout and Berero. Another black beer from the Russian Imperial Stout style in which we added dried prunes, which gives the basic beer which is a sweet one, a slightly sour note and a higher acidity. A complex beer.

Ingredients: water, malt, oats, wheat, dried prunes, hops, yeast.

330ml bottle sophiesbeerstore.co.uk. Pitch black, very thin tan head. Oily palate. Aroma of seaweed, soy sauce, dark vinous fruits, dark chocolate. Body seems a little thin with soy sauce, seaweed, bitter dark chocolate, roasted malts with very faint plummy dark fruits emerging. Bitter linger on the finish. Not quite what I expected, and not really one I'd like to try again.

Pitch black, small mocha head. The aroma dry and funky, a little yeasty, some roast grains but mostly green fruit / walnut skin / pedio tartness almost completely obscuring the malts. UPD. Some really sweet, dark plum / molasses notes start to appear. The tartness is much more like green fruit than infection by now. Taste: big rich dark malt / treacle sweetness, sweet rich prunes, quite a bit of tart winey notes, as well as fruit seed nutty astringency and funk. No strong roast / burned grains or hop bitterness. Quite peculiar, though certainly distinct and interesting.
