Cask at Creaky Floorboard, Derby. Pours golden ye;;pw with a small off-white head and good lacing. There’s floral hops and citrus in the aroma. In the mouth it fluctuates between fairly sweet and slightly bitter, with a little sharpness thrown in for good measure. Flavour has a mix of traditional and floral hops, plus lemongrass and some citrus. Later there are hints of grapefruit leading to a quite bitter finish. This is decent – plenty of bitterness for an old school IPA.

Cask at the Pup & Duckling g, Solihull. Poured a mostly clear yellow golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is grainy malt, light yeast and citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter with a smooth, malt, light citrus woody hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask @ Court House, Dudley after a day out at Black Country Living Museum. Clear gold with a well-appointed white head. Floral sweetness on the nose. Taste bears a welcome gentle hop sweetness, crisp and lightly floral with a steely bitter feel. Decent.
