Vaike Tuhamägi VT (Vanilla & Tonka beans) grainbill and yeast/fermentation
profile was based on our rich and successful Imperial Baltic Porter Tuhamägi!
This said, we brewed this new version with a lower final gravity and alcohol
strength of 9.5% to enhance drinkability but also keep the rich chocolate,
coffee and dark cherries flavors found in Tuhamägi. Finally, as we used a
lager yeast and fermented the beer cold we conditioned Vaike Tuhamägi VT
for almost 12 weeks for a neutral fermentation profile and more expressive
malt character before adding fresh Vanilla and Tonka beans for rich chocolate
and dessert-like goodness. Cheers!

33cl bottle from Purtse webshop. Pours very dark brown, close to black, with a tanned head. Malty and toasty with chocolate, cocoa, tonka, vanilla and dark fruits.
