50cl bottle from Valmiermuiža Alus Tirgotava, Riga. Pours chestnut coloured with a modest, off-white head. Malty and slightly caramelly with hints of roasted malt, nuts and dried fruits. Medium sweet with malt dominating the flavours and a bitterness on the lighter side. Quite drinkable.

Tried it some time back from random shop, long story short - not great, not terrible, but drinkable, mostly malty.

1L PET bottle from Alus Pasaule.
Couldn't get much nose out of this one - just a few hints of maple. Poured chestnut brown with a sparkilng pale cream head. In the mouth, hazelnuts, woodchips and dandelions came across, with a strong yet soft carbonation. Finish reminded me of sherbert sweets more than anything else. Overall was pleasant surprised by this - was expecting another diacetyl bomb !
