355ml bottle into pint glass. Pours a dark red/brown with a frothy tan coloured head. Nose is lightly roasted sweet cocoa. Light body, thin texture. Sweet and smoky at first, the finish is lingering coffee sourness with a hint of fruit. Reminiscent of an English brown ale.

Bottle from Tres Bonne Cuisine. Labelled as 4.7%. Rating based on Tmavy style. Nice looking pour, Dark brown, allowing some light through, soft creamy beige head. Malty aroma, slight roasty character, some of the cooked vegetables essence that shows a beer’s been on the shelf (or on the boat) too long. Taste is malty and nutty, slight bitterness at the back. Again the vegetal flavors interfere a bit, but enough of the base shines through. Would love to have this fresh.

1st USA rating. This version says 4.7% but almost definitely the same beer. looks just like the current picture but a paper label rather than silk screen bottle. 500mL capped bottle purchased from a local Russian store. Pours a clear dark brown color. Head dies pretty quickly. Aroma is baked malts, metallic stale rye syrup. Smells old and cheap. Flavor is dry, lightly bittered caraway malts. A little watery and a stale caraway bread finish. A little malt sweetness around the other flavors. I wish I could try something like this fresh because I feel I am drinking old beer.

50cl on tap at Bamba, Tallinn. Dark brown with a reddish hue and a beige head. Malty and caramelly with hints of dark fruits. Sweet and caramelly without much bitterness to speak of. Not very pleasant, but fair enough. (2016.10.21)
