Bryggerifestivalen i Trondheim 3 Aug 17. Svart. Så vidt gjennomskinnelig dyprød. Filmskum med litt farge. Sjokoladearoma. Smaken kaffe & sjokolade. Blir tørr etter hvert.

Poured from a bottle at Bryggerifestivalen 2017. Coal black body, filmy fawn-coloured head. Dotted spots on the glass. Dark doughy nose, slightly roasted. Taste of roasted malts, doughy, with hints of dark fruits. Roasted endnotes. Medium bodied. Just alright. (Trondheim 03.08.2017).

50cl bottle from Gulating ølutsalg, Sandefjord. Pours black with a huge, bubbely, beige head, A slow gusher, but seems to be fine. Roasty aroma with dark fruits, some dark chocolate, earhty notes and hints of licorice and dark berries. Moderate to medium sweet and fairly flavourful with a mild, but balanced bitterness. Carbonation a bit on the lively side. Fairly enjoyable. --- Beer merged from original tick of Porter on 01 Oct 2016 at 21:05 - Score: 6

Bottle. It pours a big, light beige colored head over a more or less black body. Not much lacing going on. The aroma is dominated by coffee and roasted malts, some hints of dark chocolate and tar joins in. No hops detected. There’s a rather volatile touch of yeast in the far back. Roasted flavor too, with coffee, some chocolate and a sweetish touch reminiscent of licorice. Some tar and charcoal notes. It’s quite effervescent on the palate, medium to full-bodied and mostly on the dry side. Long roasted finish with notes of dark chocolate, brown sugar, coffee and a vague hint of licorice. Decent bitterness. It’s a quite rough porter, but letting it warm up a little in the glass even out some of the edges and it becomes smoother. And it also helps that some of the carbonation leaves the glass. Overall, it’s a decent beer that I’m sure will improve as the brewery gains experience. 160627

Mørk mørk brun med høyt beige skum som forsvinner fort. Lukter kakaopulver, rosiner og mørke bær. Lett. Noe salt, halslinser og noe surtbittert, sitrusskall.

Nah. Unfortunately not my kind of porter. A bit plain and thin. Anyway quite easy drinkable
Opaque black and subtle red color with a beige head that ends up as a layer quite fast. Quite dry coffee dominated aroma. Medium (-) body and a soft carbonation. Mellow sweetness and a moderate bitterness. Coffee, mild roast and herbal flavor.
