The founders of Ringnes, Amund and Ellef Ringnes, were famous for their scientific curiosity and were among the first in Norway to establish a quality laboratory on the brewery site. In 2012, the gluten free Ringnes LITE was released. In 2016, Ringnes LITE Mørk Pilsner (Dark Pilsner) was introduced to the market, as a darker, maltier and richer alternative to the regular LITE. The beer is approved by NCF as gluten free and like Ringnes LITE, it has 70% less carbohydrates and 30% less calories than a regular Ringnes Pilsner.
Ringnes LITE Dark Pilsner has a light, nutbrown colour and a full foam with scents of toast, caramel and a slight fruitiness. The taste is mild with a hint of nuts and roastiness, as well as a smooth bitterness.

Can. Pours clear dark golden, with a small creamy, off white, head. Aroma is grainy malts with dark caramels, kandi sugar and minerals. Medium body, with medium carbonation. Flavour is malty notes of bread, caramels and minerals.

Boks kjøpt på Rema 1000 K1. Aroma karamell, skog, malt. Utseende klar mørk brun med lett hvitt skum. Smak malt, karamell, noe bær. En mild og lett litt søtlig øl. Helt grei. Edit: jan-19, aroma og smak karamell, malt, mørke frukter. Utseende mørk brun med beige skum. Middels fyldig, god sødme, lett bitter, øker fra 2,7 til 3 ---

Small white head doesn’t last. Clear nut-brown body. Grainy buttery aroma with cocos notes. Sweetish perfumy caramelly taste with not much more. Mid-bodied. Mild, slick mouthfeel. Dryish empty papery aftertaste with caramelly notes. It’s possible to drink this, but I’m not really enjoying it. (0.5l can, from Meny Strømmen.)

Clear nutty color with a off white head. Moderate intensity in the aroma. Medium body and an average carbonation. Tad sweet and an unbalanced bitterness. Caramel water with some unbalanced and dull herbal notes.

50cl can from Coop Extra, Sandefjord. Pours clear dark caramel brown with a fairly small, off-white head. Malty, metallic and caramelly aroma with hints of licorice and toasted malt. Sweet and unpleasant with caramelly and malty flavours and a rather light bitterness.
