Flaske 330ml fra Gulating Tromsø. Kobberfarget. Svakt uklar. Middels høyt luftig skum. Lett klementinaroma. Smaken lett syrlig frukt. Balansert, Behagelig øl - men uvariert.

Bottle at Kverneriet, Oslo. Pours a slightly hazy amber colour with a small beige head. Light aroma of pale malt, grass, spicy hops and some sweet corn. The flavour has more malt with hay, grass and spicy hops in a little dry ending. Has a slick mouth feel, light to medium body and a light bitterness. Decent but a little careful.

Huge deep offwhite lasting head. Clear, still, beautifully deep chestnut brown body. Faint, orangey aroma. Dry orangey resiny taste with toasty caramelly notes. Mid-to-thin body. Sharpish, mealy mouthfeel. Dry orangey caramelly aftertaste with salty wooden nutty notes. It’s not bad, but I don’t enjoy the dry-verging-on-acidic orangey hop flavour on top of caramelly nutty malts. Competently made, though. (0.33l bottle, from Meny Strømmen.)

Flaske fra Gulating Stavanger, hjemme: vakker oransjegylden med usedvanlig veloppdragent skum - dette kvalifiserer til full score på utseende. Deilig floral aroma og smak preget av en av mine favoritthumler, Bavaria Mandarina (Magnum er også brukt). Snev av rugsyrlighet og hint av krydderurter, men det er mandarin/søt appelsin og honning som dominerer. Fin balanse og munnfølelse, og delikat bitterhet i ettersmaken. Skulle gjerne prøvd denne fra fat.

200ml, 4.5 % abv, on tap Smelteverket. Good lacing from a low white head. Close to clear dark golden body. Mild malt-accented smell, mid-dry. Grain malty flavours with hints of peaches. Mild bittersweet endnotes. Soft in the mouth. Okay paring with the beef sliders (Oslo 16.06.2016).

Gylden brun klar med fingerhøyt offwhite skum. Lukter maltekstrakt, karamellfudge og smørblomst. Lett. Søtlig smak, karamell og lett bitterhet i avslutningen.

On tap (as "Oslo California Lager" 4,7%) at Smelteverket, Oslo. Hazy golden with a small, white head. Mild malty and fairly yeasty aroma with hints of ripe apples, honey and grain. Some slightly earthy notes too. Medium sweet with mild, but slightly strange flavours and a fairly light bitterness. Not too convincing, but drinkable enough for now.
