Bottle, courtesy of Cunningham. A clear, deep golden colored beer with a small, off-white head. The aroma has some woody, juniper-ish notes, bread and toffee and a good dash of pale malts. There’s a vegue bitterness in the mouth, it’s medium bodied and semi-dry, with a nice carbonation level. The flavor has juniper up front, with bready malts and some caramel in the back. Caramel, bread, grass, bitterness and some juniper in the finish. A decent one, but not a beer I find worthy a 1000 year celebration. 160613

Bottle 330ml @ yngwie
Pours clear deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, some fruitiness and hint of metal. Taste is light to medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long caramel, fruity, floral and juniper finish. Body is light to medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Gylden brun klar med fingerhøyt hvitt skum. Lukter maltekstrakt, lett nøtter og noe krydder og noe metallisk. Middels fylde. Søtlig. Maltig, kandis, noe krydder. Lett bitterhet i avsluttningen.

Poured from a 330ml bottle kindly shared by Cunningham. A deep and clear golden-brown body. Filmy layer, fragile lacing. Modest smell of pale and brown malts. Grainy flavours, mid-sweet, lightly spiced. Papery dry ending. Accepted, far from great though. (The great Munch drinking session, hotel room, Oslo 15.03.2016).

My Goodness Borg… I had some hope that this would be a nice ale. I tend to like beer with juniper. This one was almost just a normal dull lager.
Clear deep golden color with an off white head. Mild intensity in the aroma. Ok balance between sweetness and bitterness. Medium body and an average carbonation. Grainy flavor with some notes of forest…..

33cl from Cunningham - thanks a lot. Pours clear golden with a fairly modest, white head. Grainy aroma with honey, notes of canned peaches and hints of spices. Moderate to medium sweet with rather bland and mild flavours and a light bitterness. Slightly more interesting than the regular lagers from Borg, but nothing that scares the pale lagers drinker away (or attracts the craft beer lovers). Drinkable, but hardly very interesting.
