First brewery to break 100 ticks at my list. I have been looking in the dungeon for a while, and this one popped up as a nice little angel. A black and nice angel with some a solid powerful smile. I have tried a lot of rare things at Schouskjelleren. And this must be one of the best actually. Also brewed at the “old” brewery you see at the entrance.
Black pour with a nice creamy beige to that leaves a solid lacing down the sides of the glass. Looks nice. Mellow and pleasant aroma with some chocolate and vanilla. Full body and a soft carbonation. Good balance between sweetness and bitterness. Coffee, chocolate, mild roast, vanilla and an unusual pleasant chili in the back. I am normally not a big fan of chili in the beer. They tend to put to much in it and that destroys every flavor around. This one had a perfect chili balance. Also a well masked alcohol.

On tap at Schoudkjelleren, Oslo. Looks like pitch black down here in the cellar, modest, beige head. Roasty aroma with dark fruits, coffe, chocolate, chilli and some grainy and fruity notes. Medium sweet with nice roasty and spicy flavours and a medium bitter finish. Mild chilli burn, but far from what I’ve expected (or tried before), but still a very pleasant beer! Quite delicious! --- Beer merged from original tick of Carolinas Creeper on 27 Jan 2016 at 19:03 - Score: 8
