Nice powerful stuff. I personally miss some more prominent fruity notes. Otherwise quite solid.
Black color with a solid and lasting beige head. Good lacing. Good intensity in the aroma. Medium to full body and a fine carbonation. Good balance between sweetness and bitterness. A bit dry ending. Licorice, coffee, pine, citric, mild fruity and some chocolate.

13.02.2016, 0,5l bottle sampled @ Bergen International Whisky & Beer Festival:
Small light brown creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet grassy, leafs, dark malts, hops, grass, dark sugar, licorice, pine needles, coffee. Taste is slightly sour-ish grassy, weeds, leafs, dark malts, harsh grass, hops, minerals, burnt coffee, bark, paper, licorice. Longlasting bitterness, dry harsh mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Fra kran på BrewDog Grünerløkka i hyggelig selskap med Halvor. Svart. Lavt mokkafarget skum. Sjokoladearoma. Smaken lett metallisk med spor av kaffe. Lakris & sjokolade kommer til underveis.

On tap at Smelteverket, Oslo. Pitch black with a dense, lasting, beige head. Hoppy aroma with pine, citrus, herbal and some fruity notes, roasted malt, dark fruits and some licorice. Moderate to medium sweet with a nice balance between the dark and the hoppy flavours. Rather bitter finish with a bitter aftertaste with piney and citrusy notes. Well crafted, balanced, tasty and still easy to drink BIPA.
