From bottle at 7e Noordelijk Lentebierenfestival, Leeuwarden. Roasty aroma with notes of chocolate, liquorice, and a touch of coffee. Medium sweet, overcarbonated, medium body. Decent Stout overall, but not sturdy and Imperial at all.

Bottle. Almost black. Dark chocolate, caramel and partly hidden, solid hops in the aroma. Malty sweetish, roasty flavor with chocolate and grassy hops. Dry finish, full bodied. Amazingly good. Thanks ShivanDragon!

Bottle shared at Anti-Carnavalstasting 2019. Dark brown color, nice dark red glare coming through. Aroma and flavor is malts, some roast, malt bitter, slightly earthy liquorice notes although the others don't seem to get that at all. Quite ok I'd say.

Geproefd met dank aan Benzai. Diep donkerbruin bier. Aroma van chocolade en gebrande mout. Smaak van koffie en chocolade is zacht en blijft even hangen.

Anti-Carnaval Tasting 2019 @ Benzai’s Gallic fortress of resistance. Black with light tan head. Sweet deep roasted chocolate malts, licorice. Moderate sweet and bitter. 33cl bottle. A very dark brown beer with a tan head. Aroma of liquorice, coffee and chocolate. Taste of chocolate, liquorice, sweet roasted malt.

Süffiger, malzig würziger Beginn. Passend trocken, Noten von Kakao, zwischenzeitlich säuerlich. Langer würziger Abgang. 10/9/10/9/8/9

Dark brown. Aroma is cherry wood dark chocolate, sweet spices. Taste is sweet chocolate, bitter dark nutpeel. Soothing and complex. Good.
