Very dark brown with lasting head. Aroma and flavour have bittersweet dark malts. A bit of liquorice in the aftertaste.

Bottle shared at Anti-Carnavalstasting 2019. Dark brown color, red glare, average sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, sweetish, some sort of red fruit note. Has a hint of tartness to it. Meh, not very good imo.

Geproefd met dank aan Benzai. Donkerbruin troebel bier. Aroma van chocolade mout en hooi. Smaak van gebrande suiker, chocolade en koffie. Nasmaak heeft iets pittigs.

Hopfiger, angenehm süßlich röstiger Beginn. Noten von Schokolade, ölig, spät erkennbar alkoholisch, was aber gut verdeckt ist. Süffig, weich, zum Ende schärfer. Gelungen, könnte weniger Alkohol haben. Mittellanger, süßlich malzig-hopfiger Abgang. 8/10/10/10/6/10

Sampled from tap at the brewpub. Black with a medium large, dense, stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty, a bit spicy and minimally fruity aroma of caramel, milk chocolate, some coffee and hints of blueberry. Very sweet, malty, slightly roasty and minimally fruity taste of caramel, milk chocolate, hazelnut and slightest hints of blueberry, followed by a short, slightly bitter, moderately roasty finish. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Not a Black IPA at all, but nice as a Porter!

Bottle from dn Drul, batch 15001 BB 08-2016, large sample. Dark color, short frothy brown head. Aroma of roast, licorice, slight hop. Bit sweet in taste, salty licorice, roasty bitterness, bit ashes. Much more a (imperial) stout at the moment. But as a beer its pretty nice anyway.
