Draft. A black beer with a dark brown beer. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, over ripe fruits, sherry, and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of over ripe fruits, sherry, wood, alcohol, and roasted malt, leading to a dry roasted finish.

From tap. Pours hazy brown to black with a small tan head. Crisp hoppy, roasted malty and chocolate. Grapefruity and peachy, dark chocolate malty. Bitter and quite fruity finish.

Draught, small glass, served comfortably chilled at the brewpub. Low, but lasting tan-coloured head to an all black body appearance. Confectionery malts on the nose, slightly roasted. Sweet mocha chocolate, prunes, and mid-sweet liquorice to the taste buds with roasted coffee towards the ending tingled with warming alcohol. Very smooth in the mouth. Oily palate. Full bodied. Lovely sipper. Lucky to find the last batch of this one (Oslo 13.02.2014).

Appearance: A complete absence of light on the other side of this one. A nice beige head that stays for a long time. Good lacing.
Aroma: Rich coffee and some chocolate.
Palate: Full body. Moderate sweet with an ok bitterness. Soft carbonation.
Taste: Lots (read: HEAVY) of coffee and chocolate. Mild fruity. Well hidden alcohol.
Overall impression:Solid power ale.
Personal stats: On tap @ source

On tap at Schouskjelleren. Black with a small, tanned head. Heavy coffee aroma with roasted malt, coffee, mocha, more coffee and hints of dark chocolate. Sweet and roasty with lovely coffee flavours and a light bitterness in the finish. Well balanced and quite flavourful. One of the best from Schouskjelleren in my opinion, but quite heavy on the coffee.
