Bottle from A Hoppy Place, Windsor. Aroma is vinous, with sherbert and fruit. Dark orange tinged amber. Fizzy translucent white head. Initial sour hit is immediately followed by a medium-heavy bitter streak with a sherbert edge. Underlying jammy fruit and caramel and peripheral earthiness. The bitterness remains throughout but the caramelised fruit gains prominence. The booze eventually begins to register. Light-medium bodied. Verging on oily. Average prickly carbonation. Long astringent finish. Decent. But I would have preferred the bitterness to have been dialed down to allow the other elements to shine.

Bottle split at James, from Siren online thanks to Fergus for the hook up, 19/09/20. Amber pour with a decent off white covering. Nose is funky, dusty fruit esters, yeast, tarte fruit rinds, grains, light fecal strains. Taste comprises bretty notes, tarte fruit esters, earthy, funky, sharp citric peel, damp hay. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, light balanced acidic rise. Solid sour with a good level of complexity and masks the hefty alcohol well.
