A beer of its time, secondary fermented in barrels and carefully blended for bottling. Aromas of stone fruits and sherbet give way to blossom honey sweetness, floral character and vibrant, complex acidity before a drying oak finish.

375ml bottle. Minimally milky, orangey, golden colour with small to average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Slightly weak, cautious, woody, mildy funky, minimally bretty, floral and tangy aroma, notes of oak, floral honey, a touch of chamomile, mustard seed, white balasamico, unspecific fruitiness. Taste is tart-ish, dry, woody, floral, tangy, minimally fruity, notes of oak, floral honey, fruit acid, mild vinegar, light balsamico, white balsamico, mustard seed, orange peel here and there. Oily-watery texture, smooth, soft, slightly astringent, pungent, minimally cloying palate, very fine, soft carbonation. Quite complex, full of subtleties, thereby harmonious and balanced; every sip invites to contemplate about a more appropriate and detailed description - good!

Strong farmhouse ale aged on wooden barrels, a creation by this acclaimed English craft brewery; thanks Meeki for sharing. Off-white, creamy, medium thick, opening and irregularly lacing head, hazy peach blonde robe with pale orangey tinge. Complex, fruity aroma of ripe white grapes, peach, lots of vanilla-scenting wet oak wood, ripe mandarin, rosé wine, cider, plum jam, candied orange peel, honey, strawberry, pineapple sherbet. Very fruity onset, a perfect blend of sweet and sour with estery impressions of whitecurrant, white grape and pineapple, medium carbonated with supple but sufficiently full body, even a tad vinous; white-bready and lightly biscuity malt structure, elegantly carrying all that fruitiness and soft, vinous tartness onwards to a satisfying finish of strawberry wine, wet oak wood (though relatively soft in tannins), acacia honey and cider impressions. Like a dessert wine of sorts, in beery form: utterly refined, rich and perfumey with lots of vibrant fruitiness – this is among the very best Siren beers I had to date.

Bottle ordered from A Hoppy Place, Windsor. Peppy aroma - fruit, spice, sherbert. Clear amber gold. Foamy if blotchy translucent white head. Medium sour with underlying sweetness. Fruity and vinous. Can't argue with the description - sweet fizzy sherbert comes through. Smooths out into the finish albeit the sourness follows through. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Fizzy carbonation. Dry astringent finish. What's not to like. Fruity yet dry. Sherbert. Oak.

Bottle shared with neighbours, from the brewery online shop. Pours light hazy golden orange with a thin white head. Nice oak nose, vanilla, spice. Taste is white pepper, vanilla, faint bready yeast, some orange. There's a lot going on.
