Can, 9C. Dark amber with a good cm of beige head. Lots of chocolate and vanilla fudge in the aroma but there's bready and darkly fruity malt under there too. And that follows through into the taste too - it's like a rum ball and unabashedly a flavoured concoction but the beer underneath is cleanly malty enough to stand it and there's enough of a nip of spicy bitterness at the end to stem the sweetness. This sort of thing is usually hideous but this one is very good - good flavours, excellent balance.

Canvent #2 for 2020. Very chocolate forward on nose with vanilla in back. Almost rummy in mouth, along with dry cocoa and toffee. Sweet and creamy. I like.
