You won't find any haemoglobin in this malty red IPA but you can be assured it is dripping with juicy hops including Simcoe and Citra, balanced with a blend of pale and caramel malts.

Cask NERAX. Almost mistaken for a bitter. Some piney hops and red fruits. Tobacco and cherry wood. Cedar. Some bitters.

Light brown colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour are sweetish. Almost like a berry syrup. Plenty of flavour but far away from a red IPA.

Cask at the White Rabbit, Oxford, 20/04/22. Reddish amber with a good sized light beige cap that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is biscuit malt, caramel, orange peel, light spice. Taste comprises biscuit malt, blood orange, herb, malty bite, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with dusty hop bitterness. Fine.

Third, gravicask, at the 22nd Oxford Beer & Cider Festival. Shared with Finn. close to clear dark golden body, naked surface, dotted spots on the glassware. Leafy hops on the nose, hints of caramel sweetness. Caramel fruity flavours added by a piney twist towards a dry finish. Satisfying. (25.10.2019).

[50cl bottle,a Christmas offering from my brother.] A bright copper coloured pour with a loose white head; aroma of grapefruit and pine resin; fruity taste, with grapefruit and a hint of pineapple; and a biscuity malt body. A pleasant IPA style beer - hardly a red ale as described though.
