Keg at Brewdog Shepherds Bush, London. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a thin beige head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate, caramel, hazelnut taste/aroma. Very nice rich imperial stout.

440ml can. Poured a almost black in colour with a frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty malt and big chocolate. The flavour is strong sweet, with a silky smooth, rich, oily, big chocolate, hazelnut, light liqourice, warm alcohol, coffee palate. Full bodied with soft carbonation. A real chocolate bomb. Awesome.

44 cl. can @ home, gift from Dennis and Patries.
Black with a thin beige head. Chocolate, chocolate and chocolate aroma. Sweet taste with a chocolate bitter finish. Creamy thick body with minimal carbonation. Way too much chocolate for my taste.

Black beer, thin brown head which soon fizzles out. Smells mostly of chocolate with a little toasty malt. Flavour is a big, richy hefty chocolate but without being sickly-sweet. A good maltiness to it as well, some vanilla, a slight nuttiness and maybe a little caramel as well. A fairly straightforward flavour but beautifully done, and it's really rich and smooth.

440ml can. Jet black colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, slowly osteoporosing, minimally lacing, dark beige to tan head. Sweet-ish, intensely chocolately, dark malty aroma, notes of milk chocolate, dark chocolate, cocoa, hints of toffee, praliné. Taste is sweet, chocolately dark malty, minimally alcoholic, notes of milk chocolate, dark chocolate, cocoa, praliné, some toffee, nougat; warming, alcoholic finish. Oily to viscous texture, smooth and soft, creamy palate, medium to fine, soft carbonation. Very chocolately, quite sweet - more chocolate sauce than beer, less a digestive sipper than a dessert.

Can picked up from Hoptimism website, Loughborough, Leicestershire, UK consumed at home Friday 1st January 2020 in the company of Xenofon and Anastasia listening to some tunes on YouTube courtesy of Anastasia. Pours black with a fast disappearing beige head. Chocolate on the nose, however this is engulfed by an artificial nuttiness which is anything but subtle. Chocolate in the mouth, a little coffee, caramel, oily texture, nuttiness again showing. Have to be frank I was expecting more from this, it tries hard but isn't at the same level as many of this ilk.

Can thanks to Stuu666. Appearance - black with a fawn head. Nose - rich caramel, hazelnuts and milk chocolate. Some booze too. Taste - boozy caramel bar. With hazelnuts. Edge of booze and coffee. Underlying drinking chocolate feel. Palate - medium to full bodied. Sweet middle and long finish. Overall - very nice.
