Can from Eltham Wines, Eltham. Black pour with a beige head. Nose of chocolate cake, chocolate caramel, cocoa powder, treacle toffee. Flavours of chocolate cake, caramel, creamy coffee, maple syrup, toffee. Rich, sweet warming finish. Dessert in a glass!

5th August 2019 Can. Pretty much an opaque dark brown beer, small tan head doesn't hang around. Smooth and slightly viscous palate, softish, reasonable fine carbonation. Rich smooth dark chocolate, not too high a cacao percentage. A little chocolate cake and a touch of chocolate fudge. Modest and well buried dark fruits. A creamy dark chocolate finish. Sounds great and it's certainly decent but it's just lacking a catalyst to really set it alight. Some vanilla maybe, it just doesn't get close to the line of being something special, not close at all. 3.6

Can. Much richer chocolate delivery, chocolate ganache, a little chocolate fudge and a decent serving of milk chocolate with a touch of dark chocolate. A mild fruity chocolate underneath. Much much better and a bit of a choccy treat.

440ml can. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate, fudge brownie. Taste is sweet, extremely chocolatey, caramel, fudge, brownie, vanilla, roasted malts, surprisingly not too cloying and there's even some bitterness. Full bodied, thick, creamy. Lovely dessert.
