Draft in a bottle from lowcostbeer.com. Pours black, thin beige head. Orange pith, zest, pine, grapefruit as well as dark malts, bread, liquorice, blackcurrant, decent bitterness; excellent.

On tap at Shilling, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma is full of medium roast, earthy hops, and some pine. Flavour is robust, with a good balance between piney hops, earthy notes, and medium roasted malt. Clean and balanced, with a great hopping character. Excellent.

Growler fill from the Low Cost Beer online shop. Pours near-black with a persistent beige head. Aromas of liquorice, pine, burnt orange. Taste is light roast, pine again, dark marmalade. Bitter piney finish. Nice.

Tap @ Brewdog, Norwich. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich roast malt, bitter hops, coffee, licorice and has a nice bitter finish.

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a deep dark brown almost black with a tan colored head. Aroma is fruity hops, cascades, mosaic, citrus, candied fruits, roasted malts. Taste is bitter hops forward, citrus, orange, roasted malts, chocolate.
