Veel fruitigheid en een mooie bitterheid
IPA, 6,5%

Bottle. Clear golden amber with a near white head that lasts well. Aroma is very American: grapefruit, pine, over ripe mango, dope, toffee. But the hops are more subdued in the taste with the fairly plain and caramelish sweetness coming to the fore before pretty strong bitterness. Has some pine and somewhat medicinal herbal notes at the end, along with some boiled citrus.

Bottle at a conference in Angel, as Jopen Northsea IPA. It pours clear amber with a decent white head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, toffee, peach, straw orange and bread. The taste is crisp, bitter, pine, spicy, toffee, caramel, light alcohol, orange peel, peach and some grass with a dry, slightly alcoholic finish. Medium body and average carbonation. A bit too much toffee and alcohol character, but overall not bad.

330 ml bottle at home, thanks to Douberd! Almost clear orange color with off white head. Aroma is heavy malty and light hoppy, bready, caramel, some pine and some floral notes. Sweet, bitter and some acidic notes in the taste, very similar to the aroma. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

0.33 l bottle from local AH as ’Mooie Nel IPA’, bottled in December 2015. Clear, pale amber with a medium large, foamy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, fruity-resiny, slightly grassy aroma of mango, orange, honey and some pine. Sweetish, fruity-resiny, slightly grassy taste of mango, orange, some honey and a bit of pine, followed by a short, medium bitter, slightly grassy finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, average carbonation. Very solid and refreshing IPA.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Cris. Clear deep golden with an off-white head. Aroma of piney and citric hops, and some malt. Flavor has sweetish malt, piney and citric hops, and a bitter finish. Medium-bodied.
