The Saison Dupont is a top fermentation beer with refermentation in the bottle.
Since 1844, this beer has been brewed in our farm-brewery, during the winter time.
Then this beer became a second refermentation in the barrel.
During the next summer, this very thirst-quenching beer was served to the “saisoniers” which were working on the fields.
Surely therefore, our Saison Dupont is considered as “the classic” among the Belgian season beers!
Coppery blond, the finest aromas and a strong bitterness transform this beer into a thirst-quenchener with no equal, just the way it was created.
Our selection of yeasts is the perfect base for these typical aromas and ditto taste.
A real refermentation in the bottle, which will continue for a long time in your cellar, result into this complex and particular aromatic beer.

Very surprised I have no record of ever having drunk this before. Anyway, on tap at Ebenezers, Crewe. Pours a hazy / cloudy golden orange with a small foamy white head and good lacing. There is an aroma of yeast mixed with summer fruits. In the mouth the texture is creamy and slightly sweet with low carbonation. Flavour of mushy apples mixed with summer fruits and bread rolls. Later on some spices start to come through – particularly coriander. Finish is fruity and slightly spicy. The is the benchmark saison by which all others should be judged = excellent !

Pours goldy,large creamy head, good resistance. Spicy and phenol in nose. Sweet, extremely drinkable. Nice lacing. Fruits in taste and malty forward. Nicely balanced,medium body. Very good.

Draught @ SKAAL Sønderborg. Pours hazy straw with stable white head. Clear aroma of yeast and citrus, with touches of malt and fruit. Bitter flavour of hops, with rough estery notes and touches of malt and citrus. Estery aftertaste with bitter notes and touches of dust and salt. Well-balanced, satiating and tasty. A very nice Saison.

33cl bottle - Pours a hazy golden colour with a big foamy white head that slowly settled. Aroma is grainy, wheat, yeasty with spicy notes. A moderately sweet to light sweet taste, soft grainy malts, wheat, banana, yeasty and spicy flavours. Creamy mouthfeel with a drying bitterness in the finish.

Smell-weak, hops, herbal. Foam- thin, malt, weak herbal. The Head is large, white in color. Appearance-simple bottle, brewer bottle cap. Clear-ish yellow-amber is full of sediment. From- snifter Taste - malt, herbal, caramel, weak Belgian yeast, hops, citrus. Very neutral and drinkable saison. Nothing to complain about, but also not too much to praise. Perfect in its own neutral category.
