Tap at The Hive Crowthorne, 19th March 2022. Pours black as the ace of spades and viscous. Aroma is heady, hazelnuts and maple, chocolate. Taste is smooth, rich, plenty of hazelnuts, and the maple takes away some of the sweetness. Excellent Stout

Can on the train home post Bingohame Bimble, 11/06/21. Pitch black with a good sized tan head. Nose is sweet malts, candy bar, brown sugar melt, maple syrup, toffee fudge, light roast. Taste comprises caramel fudge brownies, light charr, spice, nutty, dark malts, molasses, syrup. Full bodied, fine carbonation, oily feel, semi drying close with a gentle warming boost. Decent impy affair if a touch on the sweet side for my liking.

Canned 060320. Black, bit of thin brown foam. Smells maple, some nice roast, bit of coffee, hazelnut. Nice thickness, pretty soft, some boozyness. Taste is an interesting mix of flavours, plenty maple, sweet hazelnut, and ends bitter roasty. Damn tasty.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up via trade. Pours black-brown with a foamy beige head. Big, very sweet, nice sugary maple vibes, some creamy chocolate, toffee, hazelnut, torched butter, a little bitter roast and coffee. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming and sticky on the finish, some blended maple and chocolate syrup, baking cocoa, ashy roast, earth, marshmallows. Lots of sweet things going on. Good fun.

Can shared with friends. Pours pretty much completely black with a minimal beige head. Powerful aroma with maple dominating. In the mouth the maple sweetness carries through, but also some nuttiness to alleviate. Hints also of coffee and cocoa nibs with brandy like alcoholic strength coming through. Nice but an acquired taste
