Growler shared at the JK Tasting - Craft Beer Co., Islington. Sourced from the brewery. Pours lightly hazy gold with a sturdy, frothy white head. Lovely dank hop aroma, with some melon, pith, papaya. Medium sweet flavour, lightly drying, super juicy, with some melon, peach, papaya, light bitterness. Medium to full bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Lightly resinous in the close, a little warming, with more melon and papaya, hints of pale bread, pithy grapefruit. Outstanding.

Growler shared by jc1762. Thanks Jon! Poured a hazy yellow-orange color with a small white head. Aroma was grassy, grapefruit and resin notes. Flavor was similiar, very tasty - lots of juicy character in this one. Resin blast. Very juicy.

Growler into a tulip glass showing hazy dark orange with no head. The nose shows moderately intense orange and grapefruit zest. The palate is lightly carbonated and medium bodied. Pulpy and juicy grapefruit with a robust malt backbone. Barely any bitterness with the linger showing a combination of malt and grapefruit to emulate a slight harmonious adzuki sweetness on the end.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out lovely stone fruitiness, resinous hops, and caramel malt backbone. Flavour is along he same lines, with caramel malts, resinous hops and candied fruits. A little sweet but well-made. Very good, but sub-par for this series and HF.

Growler filled 5 days ago and kept in the fridge. Split 2 ways in Teku stemware.

A - Looks like an orange sour candy, cloudy, 3 finger dense whit ahead that fades to some very pretty lacing.

S - The nose is so very much Shaun Hill. Simcoe, Citra, OMG. two favorite hops together and Mosaic bringing up the rear. tangerine skins, floral, herbal with enough piney ness. Excellent blend.

T - Flavor is nice. I’d say simcoe seems to really dominate the flavor here. substantial bitterness with a lot of juicy fruit, dank resin, grapes.

M - Very thick, creamy even, Maybe that’s the oats lending this mouthfeel? It lacks that tonic water, sparkling water brightness and it’s almost intensely thick like a milkshake.

O - Maybe this if HF’s response to those oat IPAs everyone is doing. There’s a lot going for this one but I just can’t get past the mouthfeel.

December update. Had this again and I’m certainly more of a fan. It smells and tastes much better. Changing rating from 3.7 to 4
