Russian Imperial Stout
The third beer in the Doom Series saga in which Cervezoteca Malte, NaparBCN and Branca Studio got in on the action. Dark, slow, and lingering sounds were the source of inspiration in this tribute to the band Electic Wizard, the muse that brought about this Russian Imperial Stout that is enchanted with lactose, Ethiopian coffee and haba tonka.
Ingredients: Water, malts, Etiopian coffee, hops, lactose, tonka bean natural flavour and yeast.

Tap at SOPP. Dark brown colour, steady beige head. Strong toasted Tonka beans aroma (perfumic, vanilla). Medium-bodied. Front has bitterness then tonka beans, toastyness, some sweetness. Tonka Bean overdose.

Draught @ SOPP 2018. Pours pitch black with a smooth brown head. Aroma of roasty malts, licorice, coffee, cocoa, creamy notes and lactose. Taste is smooth, slightly roasty and sweetish with some creamy notes, chocolate, cocoa, coffee, licorice and hints of tonka? beans. Finish is smooth and slightly roasty with some sweetness, licorice, cocoa, vanilla and coffee. Smooth and sweetish, quite complex.

Tap @ sopp 2018. Poured pitch black with a thick off white head. Malty, Coconutty, vanilla, chocolate cake aroma. Malts, lactose, coconut, chocolate and vanilla. Long finish. Sweet but excellent flavors.

Bottle (from koht). Pours dark brown-black with brown head. Aroma is roast, chocolate, camomile. Flavor is sweet, bitter, roast, malt, chocolate, camomile, malt. Covers alcohol well. Overall: good, bit harsh

Bottle picked up from Cotteridge Wines, Cotteridge, Birmingham. consumed at Fire in the Mountain Festival, nr Aberystwyth, Wales, Saturday 2nd June 2018 Difficult to be exacting on colour owing to green plastic glass that is festooned with a Northern Rock Patrons Project label. However it's a big stout so safe to say it'll be black or thereabouts. Quite a lot of lactose, however the coffee shows first, it's a smooth coffee hit more cappuccino than double espresso. The Tonka Bean is subtle but a nice addition, and plays itself part. This is a really nice Imperial Stout, smooth, dangerously easy drinking for the abv. Nice chocolate touches, most enjoyable, just wished Loz would have shared as I am going solo now with these nights beers tonight. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

Tap at NaparBCN. Black with creamy dark beige head. Cinnamon, lots of sweet coffee, huge tonka beans, toffee, fudge, tiramisu, chilies, strong dark chocolate, coffee icecream. Very sweet and medium bitter. Full bodied with sugary feel. Lovely dessert stout, maybe too much tonka beans, but damn this is quite enjoyable.
