Vuur & Vlam is an overly hopped beer. Yet, it's not aggressive in it's bitterness or too grassy from the hops. We mainly retrieve the fruit and floral aromas from the hops. Giving it a huge hop character with the nasty bitterness. Flavor indication: citrus, floral, light grassy. Translates as Fire & Flames

33 cl bottle at VilleValla Pub. Hazy, hay/yellow liquid with medium to big white head. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, tropical fruit, fresh hops, lemon grass and very light malt. Refreshing! Taste is dry, hoppy, fruity, lightly malty and medium to highly bitter. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Smooth and balanced. Well made as most of De Molen’s beer.

Draft @ DeMolen on November 17th visit.

(11/11/2011) 25 cl. draft @ Delirium Taphouse – served in a small pint glass: Awesome a new De Molen beer and on tap as well, my first Molen on tap & an IPA at that \ This is the beer that they once made every brewery present at the Borefts festival brew \ Exited for another Molen IPA after the Amarillo \ Pours a hazy golden/range with a creamy white head that laces like insane, when I finished the whole side of my glass was covered by a thick wall of lacing, impressive to say the least \ Smell is amazing, lots of very fruity hops with lemon, grapefruit, apricot, peach, pine,… \ Taste is bitter hops – very American – with bitter pine resin mixed with a strong herbal/grass bitterness, some hay, with some rather distant muffled underneath, I am getting very clearly peach here, heavy aftertaste, a bitterness which just lingers on your palant, for a long time after you have taken a sip, going all herbal & grass on you \ Medium body & heavy carb \ Another great beer from De Molen and an amazing IPA //// had this straight from the fermentor @ the brewery, man so gooood...

Bottle. Pours a clear deep gold with a thick near white head that dissipates slowly but remains through the beer. Aroma has a good amount of tropical fruit and citrus with a bit of sweet bread in the background. Flavor starts is a bit thinner with some grassy and citrus hops with some grains in the finish.

Bottle looks really good. Beer in the deep golden, really nice head. Hoppy-soapy aroma. Starts fine malty and spicy, more and more dry, a bit soapy. Also woody-try notes. Finish a bit metallically, could be more intense hoppy. But still good.

Bottle @ home. Cloudy orange-brown appearance with a white head and lively carbonation. Earthy, organic, slightly resiny hoppy nose. A touch citrusy, earthy, organic, slightly piney hoppy, a bit toasty malty flavor. Light piney, earthy hoppy, slightly bitter aftertaste. Nothing too special.
