Vuur & Vlam is an overly hopped beer. Yet, it's not aggressive in it's bitterness or too grassy from the hops. We mainly retrieve the fruit and floral aromas from the hops. Giving it a huge hop character with the nasty bitterness. Flavor indication: citrus, floral, light grassy. Translates as Fire & Flames

Bottle looks really good. Beer in the deep golden, really nice head. Hoppy-soapy aroma. Starts fine malty and spicy, more and more dry, a bit soapy. Also woody-try notes. Finish a bit metallically, could be more intense hoppy. But still good.

Bottle @ home. Cloudy orange-brown appearance with a white head and lively carbonation. Earthy, organic, slightly resiny hoppy nose. A touch citrusy, earthy, organic, slightly piney hoppy, a bit toasty malty flavor. Light piney, earthy hoppy, slightly bitter aftertaste. Nothing too special.

En IPA med massvis av tropisk frukt i doften. Smakmässigt något klenare med en snäll men sträv fruktig beska. Helt klart en godkänd IPA.

Pours hazy gold into a snifter. Bright white toothpaste head with medium retention leaves scum as it recedes to mottle surface. Peach, apricot and sweet citrus aromas. Medium bodied and dry with peach and bitter lemon pith. Earthy hop finish.

Bottle from De Molen. Hazy amber color with beige head. Aroma of citrus, pine, spices. Taste, fruity, grapefruit, pine, spices. Nice long spicy bitter finish. Excellent.

Bottle. Pours apricot. White head. Nose/taste of pineapple, spicy hops and malt. Dry spicy hop finish. Medium body. Moderate bitterness.

11.2 oz. bottle, split with Matts_Property, pours a murky rusty orange with a big white head. Very spicy and peppery nose, with grassy and herbal hops subdued. Extremely bitter flavour of spicy and peppery hops, with hardly any malt to balance. Spicy, peppery, bitter finish that lingers on and on. Very unbalanced and too peppery for my liking.

Thanks to James and Susan for sharing this. It pours dirty brown with gold edges and white head. The aroma is earthy hops, spicy hops, some citrus hops and sort of green grassy hops too. The taste is fresh and grassy sort herbal with spicy hops, earthy hops and grassiness heading to midway. It then picks up some modest acidic like lemon citrus notes into the finish. Nice IPA.

Re-rate of an old amateur rating. Draught @ Van Moll Brewpub. Slightly unclear orange color, medium sized off-white head that lasts for a decent while. Aroma is malts, hops, fruity. Tastes about the same: malts, hops, fruity, some tropical fruit, a hint of blossom. Decent body, soft yet suitable carbonation. Very nice. 9-4-8-3-15. Another re-rate but only the numbers after I tried another bottle @ home. Basically it was full of tropical fruit hops. Lovely.

Trocken erdiger Antrunk, der zu stark karbonisiert ist. Limettenartiges Hopfenaroma, im Verlauf kommt der reine Hopfen deulticher hervor, die erkennbare Bitterkeit versucht dabei, im Hintergrund zu bleiben. Das Bier wird zum Ende ausgeglichener, die Bitterkeit kommt aber duelticher hervor. Wenig blumig, ausgeglichen, die verschiedenen Hopfennoten versuchen sich gegenseitig zu überbieten und behindern sich so. Könnte ausgewogener sein – und deutlich weniger karbonisiert! 9/10/7/9/11/11
