Vuur & Vlam is an overly hopped beer. Yet, it's not aggressive in it's bitterness or too grassy from the hops. We mainly retrieve the fruit and floral aromas from the hops. Giving it a huge hop character with the nasty bitterness. Flavor indication: citrus, floral, light grassy. Translates as Fire & Flames

"Bottel" 488 (brewed 11. March, bottled 12. April). Wow! This pours an unclear brownish colour, with a massive, staying head. The aroma is amazing, with a very pleasant fruitiness and sweet hints of strawberry and honey. A full body hits you with a good, caramelly malt, with a slight hint of toffee, and finishes of in a dry, bitter finish of citrus. The carbonation is not really that aggressive, but due to the marked yeast residue it goes on and on, adding to both the palate and the everlasting head. What starts of as a fabulous IPA, ends up as an extraordinary ESB hybrid, with a long, bitter aftertaste.

Re-rate 2/22/12: Bottle sample at a tasting at Dagan’s place. Thanks Tom. Clear golden. Powerful hoppy tropical fruits aroma (mango, lychee and more). Flavor has a bit of mellow sweetness and lots of pleasant fruity hoppiness and nice lingering bitterness. Medium-bodied. Lovely. 8/3/7/3/16=3.7

Bottle. Beautiful beautiful aromatic hop aroma, subtle flowery, tropical and herbal. Cloudy orange, ridiculously big and stable golden head. Grassy bitterhop base, fruity malt notes, dry on the palate. Grass and grapefruit aftertaste. Beautiful.

[8/10] Muddy amber with a huge light beige head. Aroma has light caramel with pine, citrus, peach and flowers. Quite carbonated mouthfeel benefited from a a swirl or two. Light fruity sweetness (peaches, grapes) with pine and citrus bitterness. Achieves a good trick: there’s distinct sweetness and distinct bitterness, but they work together - it doesn’t start as the former then hit you with the other. Excellent. [4.1] [7/12] Bottle, very small ullage. Just hazy gold with an inch of white head. Aroma of stone fruits, bright citrus, white grapes. Bittersweet with honeydew melon and light biscuit before bright citrus and cut pine. Soft and inviting with firm bitterness emerging seamlessly. Had a few cooked or overprimed bottles of this, but this one is very lovely indeed. 8384 18=4.1[7/17] A couple of cans. More stinky tropical fruit in the aroma. Hints of sourness as well as bitterness. The beer seems less gracile despite the thin can. An ?earthiness that’s a bit stock-like. This one is 3.4ish. Too many not to average really.

Cask @ Bishops Arms, Malmö. Pours a hazy orange color with a longlasting off-white head. Has a Fresh fruity hoppy pine aroma with hints of grapefruit. Fruity malty hoppy bitter pine needles flavor. Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter finish.

Bottle. Orange-brownish body with a very huge slightly tan head. Aroma of pineapple, citrus, grass and something that reminded of "smoke". The taste was bitter, but not too bitter. More malt than hops, I prefer the opposite when I drink an IPA. Still a descent beer, very drinkable.

Bottle (courtesy of the great Bierkoning - thanks). Sweet pine/orange and toffee malt aroma. Cloudy orange-tan color wtih nice tan head. Lightly sweet toffee malt and mildly bitter pine and orange peel hops. Nicely balanced and good body. Very good.
