Vuur & Vlam is an overly hopped beer. Yet, it's not aggressive in it's bitterness or too grassy from the hops. We mainly retrieve the fruit and floral aromas from the hops. Giving it a huge hop character with the nasty bitterness. Flavor indication: citrus, floral, light grassy. Translates as Fire & Flames

Bottle, 75cl corked, at Olympen. It pours a hazy orange body under a dense, two-finger off-white head. Quite hoppy on the nose, resiny and peachy, wih some sugary maltyness in the back. The flavor has resins and citrusy peel bitterness, with enough sweetness to give it some kind of balance. Full-bodied and nicely carbonated. The finish is bitter and citrusy. A really nice and quaffable IPA. 100313

dark golden, smooth creamy offwhite head. dry, flowery, exotic fruity, piny, grapefruity aroma. nice hop aroma over a malty base. flavor is sweet malty, flowery and slightly yellow fruity hoppy. hoppy part of flavor is slightly sweeter than usual, but there are loads of pine and grapefruit and other kinds of hoppy bitterness to balance. tastes great. ends bitter and sweet malty, quenching.

Big offwhite head. Hazy amber body. Lovely mango fruit hop aroma with sherbet notes. Dry-sweet earthy peas taste with mango and fruit notes. Mild, dusty mouthfeel. Mid-bodied. Dry alcoholic fruity mealy aftertaste with resiny pepper notes. Not bad, but could use more of everything. (0.33l bottle, Håndverkerstuene. Bottled 2010-04-12.)

750ml bottle @ Cardinal. Slightly hazy dark orange to amber body with a fine off-white head. Strong hoppy aroma of grapefruit and oranges with some caramel. Flavor has a sweet fruity, caramel base with a nice balanced bitterness. Very nice.

Draught at CBF 10. Big round, off-white bubbles atop of an unclear amber body. Floral hoppy to the nose. Rich taste of pure hoppy fruits with a solid bitter, long-lived, finish. Well made and a real pleasure to drink (Tap 1 at Carlsberg, 06.05.2010).

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of citrus and lemon. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and lots of hops - grapefruit and grass, leading to a dry, bitter, and spicy finish.

75 cL bottle, courtesy of Papsoe. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is crisp orange fruity and mango. Crisp hoppy and zesty. Sweet fruity impression and yet bone dry bitter beneath with very little malt sweetness. Lingering fruity and bone dry.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of Ungstrup. Pours slightly hazy deep golden with a dense off-white head. Very citrusy and peachy nose. Medium body, dominated by dry, citric fruits. Mouthdryingly dry, tired mouthfeel, peachy and citrusy hops. Needs some residual sweetness for balance. This is too dry. 010410
