13/1/2020. Sample, from bottle, courtesy of danlo, cheers Ed! Pours clear golden with a small short lasting bubbly head. Aroma of wood, fleshy apples, caramel, vanilla and a touch of red wine. Moderate sweetness, light tartness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, average carbonation. Dry, tannic finish. Nicely done.

750ml wired cork bottle from Oak Barrel, Sydney. Vintage 2018. Opened with a loud pop. Golden colour, short-lived white foam head and aroma of apple, woody, oaky, vanilla, caramel. Taste is juicy apple, with woody oak barrel, light funk, caramel and vanilla, plus drying tannins. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry oaky tannic finish. Very drinkable.
