Bottle. Brown beer with a strongish head. The aroma is well roasted, and the flavour is deeply roasted with a caramel bitterness. Overall a very drinkable bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask@GBBF2010. Clear amber colour with a small slightly off-white head. Aroma and flavour are both crisp crystal malty notes as well as caramel and mild chocolate maltyness. Also rather grassy and floral hopping and slight dried fruityness.

this is such a typical english bitter. heavy on the malts, bready, a little too sickly sweet for me, with just a touch of hops to add some bitterness. brown, no head, easy to drink but i wouldnt want more than one, some dark fruit hints, very typical.
