This beer is inspired by the Kölsch beers of Cologne, which are fermented using ale yeast but then matured like lager. The higher fermentation temperature from this hybrid beer gives the beer a fruitier palate than a traditional lager whilst retaining a crisp, refreshing finish.

We have used noble German hops Hallertauer and Tettnang in this recipe as well as a genuine kolsch yeast to create a beer as authentic to this style as possible.
