The elusive and delicious bilberry, found atop moors, or in deep Scandinavian forests, provide an intense flavour that out-matches their American blueberry cousins. How best to celebrate this often forgotten fruit than in a smooth fruitshake IPA, hop charged with Mosaic and Hallertau Blanc. A beer for the Alfather in Valhalla

25/10/2019. Can sample courtesy of danlo, cheers Ed! Pours unclear maroon colour with an average size pale pink head. Aroma of blueberry muffins, sweet pastry, citrus, flowers, touch of vanilla and hops. Light sweetness, moderate bitterness and tartness. Medium body, oily texture, above average carbonation. Something a bit different, didn't find this one particularly easy to drink.

440ml can. Hazy purple colour, foamy purple-pink head leaving lacing and aroma of fruity berry, bilberry, citric hoppy. Taste is very tart fruity, bilberry, juicy berries, with citric rind, grapefruity, hop resin bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy tart berry finish. Quite drinkable.
