Hop & Liefde (Hop & Love) is formally known as Pale Ale Citra and one of our biggest selling light ales. Very refreshing and it makes you want more after the first. Very floral, lots of citrus, light grassy and light bodied. Flavor indication: Citrus, grassy, floral, bitter The name Pale Ale Citra is still used for the export to Sweden.

Bottle from an Albert Heijn in Ghent. Pours clear dark golden with a lasting, frothy, off-white head. The aroma contains grapefruit, flowery hops (Citra), exotic fruit, caramel, honey, straw, lemon, some yeast. It tastes light to medium fruity sweet and medium to heavy hoppy bitter; dry finish but never aggressive. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Lots of taste, even at 4,8%; quenching too; then again, I never expected it to be bad..

0.33 l bottle from 'AH XL' (Maastricht), bottled in July 2017. Clear, dark reddish amber with a medium large, frothy, stable, white head. Sweetish, fruity-floral and slightly resiny aroma of orange, apricot jam, some honey and a touch of pine. Moderately sweet, slightly bitter, quite fruity, floral and slightly resiny taste of mango, orange jam, some pine and a touch of honey, followed by a short, moderately bitter, quite dry, slightly resiny and a bit grassy finish. Almost medium-bodied, quite effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Decent APA, refreshing and quite hoppy, just lacks a bit of body and intensity.

200ml draught at ØX Tap Room. A firm beige head blanketing the upper part of the glass. Hazy orange coloured body. Dusty hops with hints of citrus on the nose. Citrus taste, moments of ripe grapefruit, together with mild malty sweetness. Mid-dry hop bitter ending. Smooth on the swallow. Nice, decent session qualities. (Trondheim 05.08.2017).
