The Hofbräu tent at the Oktoberfest is known for its lively atmosphere. Here is where the world comes to celebrate. Down Under in Lederhosen. Of course, the most popular folk festival in the world wouldn't be complete without a very special beer: Hofbräu Oktoberfest beer is a full-bodied, bottom-fermented specialty beer. With its fine hoppy aroma, it’s perfect alongside a classic Oktoberfest roasted chicken.

500ml bottle bought from the Offie, Leicester. It pours light to mid-gold, very clear with a tiny film of white head and some visible carbonation. Malty aroma, some gluey resin, light notes of hay and a touch of white grape. Sweet taste with a bit of fruity hop and some astringency in the finish. Oily body, medium carbonation. It's not bad.

29-09-20 // 500ml bottle. 2020 version. Clear darker shiny golden. Good white head. Very sweet malty. A medium plörrigkeit. Unpleasant grainy sweet. And 6.3% is strong and tasteable. Not for me.

Pours golden with a huge fluffy white head. Aroma of soft malt, Saar hops. Taste has slightly sweetened malts, slightly resinous hop oils, vaguely bitter. Palate has lingering märzen notes, more muted than expected. Good.

One of the best Oktoberfest beers. More of just a strong helles than anything different. So it’s crisp and clean, but a bit more of a punch. Graeff Hamburg

Vergleichsweise mild gehopft. Getreidige und malzige Noten sind vorherrschend. Relativ schwer, nicht direkt süffig, aber als sperrig oder gar unharmonisch würde ich es auch nicht bezeichnen.
