A traditional best bitter ale brewed with Pale and Crystal malts and Goldings aroma hops, resulting in a full-bodied amber coloured ale. Distinctive caramel notes, with nutty and roasted aromas lead to a bitter, but sweet taste.

Durchaus trinkbar

8/7/2020. Sample courtesy of the SHIG, cheers! Pours clear amber with a bubbly white head. Aroma of malt, toffee, hops, biscuit and fruit. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Moderate body, oily texture, quite fizzy carbonation. Not great. St.Peter’s beers used to be better than this.

Bottle courtesy of SimonTomlinson via the RB EU 2019-3 trade. Thanks! Brown with a fleeting, frothy head. Aroma of caramel, mixed grains. Taste is mildly bittersweet the whole way through, with the bitterness having the upper hand. Long finish full of roasted grain. Light bodied, watery texture, balanced carbonation. Not bad. Good flavor given the low ABV.
