Olmost black with a brown head - Dark roasted malt with some dark fruity tones and some wood aroma - Dark malt body with dark fruity tones and wood barrel with some alcohol heat - The dark malt with wood and alcohol heat goes into the finish - This was good

Bottle. The colour is dark brown to black with a small beige head. Aroma of rubber, coffee, leather, chocolate truffles, liqour, soy sauce and cranberries. Flavour of brown sugar, rubber, leather, dates, liqueur and some coffee. Has a slick mouth feel, full-bodied and a light bitterness. Rich and tasteful.

Luke 11 i min rikholdige og fortsatt hemmelige (tror jeg...) julekalender, delt ekslusivt med meg selv mens jeg lager middag og Kitty ser på Dagsrevyen (god taktikk!): brunsvart med fint skum som varer. Nissen hos Nøisom er tydeligvis en generøs herre, her er der rikelig med juleglede. Saftig smak med kirsebær (!), bourbon, vanilje, lakrischokolader, svisker, dadler og fiken. Eller er det fantasien som løper løpsk? En dejlig bitterhed balanserer sødmen, og mersmaken vil vare ut over kvelden. Sett ut grøten til nissen fra Nøisom!

YG 020821. 020821. Dark brown color with a small beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, licorice. Flavor is roasted malt, chocolate, licorice, alcohol, rye, bread, dried fruits, wood, sugar, bourbon, spices. Very nice beer.

Bottle. An unclear dark brown beer with a minimal sized dark beige head. Sort of oily pour. Quite intense aroma with dark chocolate, roasted malts, hints of alcohol, some booze, dark licorice, some dark dried fruits, a faint touch of spiced rum and wood, and some brown sugar. It's full-bodied and faintly warming, smooth and rather sweet on the palate, with a very light bitterness. Roasted malts, dark rye bread, dark dried fruits, licorice notes, some rum and wood, some booze and a good dash of dark sugar. Lasting finish with a tad too much alcohol. A very nice one indeed, not sure if needed 14% ABV, but it's not too much in any way. 210802

Solid evening sipper this one. Not as sweet as feared for a beer like this Balanced and fine. Also quite easy to drink.. Well masked alcohol level Off course a black pour. The head vanish a bit to fast Good intensity in the aroma. Fine duration and a smooth carbonation level Dark malt, quite fruity, wood and chocolate in the flavor [Bottle from Vinmonopolet in Halden, Norway]

330ml can bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. A deep ruby shade to a pretty black body, filmy layer leaving scattered lacing on the glass. Inviting sherry-like smell, woody. Solid taste profile of dried and dark fruits, berries and chocolate malts added by molasses. Woody. A bourbon touch to a lingering sherry-like end. Full bodied. Evening slow sipper for about an hour. Virtual skål with Cunningham. Heavy sipper, one small bottle was enough at the time. (Tromsø 30.12.2020)

Shared with VH, MP and HG at decentralised yule beer tasting on board Fridtjofen in Kristiansund 12.12.20. Ebony. Aroma and sweet taste of vanilla, pine, juniper and dates. Good!!!

Lillehøgda. Svart. Lysebrunt skum som raskt blir skumring. Aroma av kokos & portvin. Oljeaktig munnfølelse. Smaken kokosmakroner med hint av søt sherry. Tørr - svakt alkoholisk - avslutning. Ble veldig søt.
