Milder than Schlenkerla, but still with an adequate taste of smoked malt. Milder taste made it a good intro to rauchbier. As lots of first timers for racuhbier were at the tasting, this one was popular at first, but interest waned as tasters became accustomed to the taste of Schlenklerla. A good starter rauchbier

Medium offwhite head. Deep amber body with light carbonation. Grainy smoky buttery aroma with earthy caramelly notes. Dry-sweet smoky minty roasty taste with mealy earthy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, smooth mouthfeel. Dry caramelly smoky roasty aftertaste with grainy grassy notes. Buttery fruity stuff going on, too. Very nice. Highly drinkable and full of character. (0.5l bottle, Ølbutikken, Copenhagen.)
