We love hybrids. It's always interesting to combine the best of two beer styles. This is a Kölsch style beer, but with an acidity reminiscent of a Gose. The interplay between fruity esters and the lactic acid gives this beer its life and dynamics.

Bottle. A hazy pale yellowish golden colored beer with a small, firm, white head. Quite fruity aroma with a bready, lightly doughy maltyness and some freshly baked white bread. Citrus zest, some yellow apple notes, ripe pears and some vague estery clove hints too. It's quite thin on the palate, which of course makes it slide down very easily. The carbonation level is very pleasant, and the dryness adds to the drinkability and helps make it refreshing. Fruity flavor too, both of the standard yeast driven fruityness, and of the impact from the sour culture. The maltyness and bread are less evident in the flavor than in the aroma, still it's a quite flavorful beer. It's subtle compared to the American style hop forward ales of course, but it's still a quite complex beer, that should do very well as a thirst quencher in every kind of summer. 180125
