IMPERIAL STOUT AGED IN MAPLE SYRUP BOURBON BARRELS W/ WALNUT These barrels have been through the ringer! They started with bourbon, moved on to maple syrup, and finally they’re finishing off with our delicious Imperial Stout base, brewed in collaboration with the Chicago-based brewery Mikerphone. All those layers are the perfect blend of Americana and Canadiana, finished with an additional dose of that sweet syrup we all love, and toasted walnuts for a classic pairing.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a pitch black with a finger of brown head that dissipates. Cacao nib, roasted coffee and toasted walnut aromas. Medium body with a thin finish. Soy sauce really stands out, maybe some walnut bitterness, faint maple syrup. Not really getting much bourbon character...some warming alcohol that lingers.

355ml can. Pours an opaque black with a small, creamy, short lived, brown head that laces. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, bourbon, vanilla and oak. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate, maple syrup, vanilla, molasses, oak and faint walnut in a dry, warming bourbon finish. Full body with a creamy, smooth, sticky texture and soft carbonation. An excellent dessert beer to sip on.
