It looks like a pale but tastes like a stout? Its Hoodwink, but not as you know it. A double version of our legendary white stout, Hoodblink is made with lactose, vanilla & white chocolate for a sweet decadent flavour that defies its light appearance. This is a one-time brew; blink & you’ll miss it!

440ml can from Mad Squirrel, High Wycombe. Poured a golden orange colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light chocolate. The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a smooth, rich, malt, chocolate, oaty, floral perfume hop bitter palate and a lingering floral hop bitter finish. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation.

You have to enjoy vanilla and lactose if you are planning to buy this one! Hazed glowing golden pour with a fine thick head. Fine lacing also. Looks good Fine intensity in the aroma. Vanilla and lactose Quite balanced sweetness actually. Also a fine mellow carbonation level Flavor is quite vanilla and lactose dominated. But absolutely within limits for human consumption. Quite smooth and surprisingly easy drinkable [Can from Mr Wolff]

Can from the brewery. Appearance - hazy/murky white to yellow with brown parts. Thin crema head. Nose - vanilla, coffee and white chocolate. Taste - coffee again backed up by vanilla and white chocolate. Palate - creamy in texture, light bodied, a little sweet on the finish. Overall - I've never been convinced by this style, but probably quite a good execution.

440ml can delivered from the Salmon, Leicester and drunk at home. Golden yellow, mostly clear with a ring of white head. Caramel, milk chocolate, a touch of orange. Sweet taste, slightly artificial chocolate with a bitterness seeping in for the long boozy finish. White stouts are a bit of a hard sell for me but this one is decent.
