Keg at Brick. It pours black with a medium white head. The aroma is earthy, roasted malt, cocoa, dark chocolate, coffee grounds. The taste is dry, bitter, earthy, toasty, umami, coffee grounds, peppery spice, liquorice and molasses with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Well rounded and quaffable.

Tap at the brewpub. Very dark brown with good sized beige head. Quite fruity with apricots, apple, pear and peach. Sweet malts, light chocolate, creamy, earthy, fresh wood, light grassy. Almost medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with creamy feel. Nice.
