High Colour Crystal malt is used to give this beer a deep ruby hue; this produces a rich luxurious beer with a good body and head. The Challenger, Fuggles, Willamette and East Kent Golding hops provide the right amount of bitterness and aroma to offset the malty rich taste provided by the Crystal Malt.

Gravicask at Spa Valley 9th Beer & Cider Festival. Shared with Finn. Near-black in the glass, shiny black surface, poor lacing. Promising smell of liquorice and caramel malts. Toffee and liquorice flavours, lightly spiced followed by ripe fruity hops towards the end. Accepted, not great. (Tunbridge Wells 18.10.2019).

Fra gravicask. Delt med Rune på 9th Spa Valley Beer & Cider Festival. Ultramørkebrun / svart. 0 skum. Aroma av svisker. Smaken tørket, overmoden frukt. Tørr avslutning.
