330ml bottle. Jet black colour with small to average, thick, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, tan head. Sweet-ish, chocolately, dark malty aroma, hints of dark chocolate, treacle, some caramel, malt lozenge, a minimally yeasty spicy marmite touch. Taste is slighty dry, roasty-spicy, dark malty, subtle sweetness, notes of coffee and dark chocolate, a touch of caramel and treacle, liquorice, lingering bitter hoppy finish. Oily to viscous texture, smooth, soft and silky palate. Delivers an adequate Impy Stout impression at only 7% abv.

33cl Bottle at camping Kost-Ar-Moor. Black with brown tan head. Big sweet roasted near burnt chocolate malt. Licorice, molasses, tobacco, blueberries, rubber, glue, ash. Sweet, with medium bitter counterpart. Full body, low carbonation. Fruity and tobacco hints are nice, that rubber boot finish -- not so much. --- Beer merged from original tick of Kerzu on 18 Dec 2017 at 12:18 - Score: 6. Original review text: 3.3

Sampled from bottle at Borresteijn’s place. Pitch black with a tan head. Sweetish-malty aroma of caramel, some almond, chocolate and nuts. Sweetish-malty taste of caramel, chocolate, some nuts and almond, followed by a short, slightly roasty-bitter finish. Medium body, slightly oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay.
