Beer in the copper dress. The Goudale IPA is the perfect marriage of several American hops from the plains of Yakima (Washington State-USA). It reveals notes of citrus fruit and exotic fruits and wants to dry with pronounced bitterness. The yeast and cereals used in its recipe complete its taste palette with aromatic notes.

Bottle from Intermarche in Eygalières with les boules. Clear light copper pour. Thin white head. Aroma is grassy earthy hops, caramel, spice. Taste is very earthy bitterness despite cascade and simcoe, Pilsner-y malt crispness, some honey. Not really an IPA character, but not bad. Medium-thin body. Fine but wouldn’t get again.

330ml bottle. Poured a crystal clear golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is sweet grainy malt, light toffee, light floral woody hop. The flavour is moderate sweet light bitter with a crisp, dry malt, yeasty, sweet dry woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied average to soft carbonation. Way too sweet for an IPA but drinkable all the same.
