Beer in the copper dress. The Goudale IPA is the perfect marriage of several American hops from the plains of Yakima (Washington State-USA). It reveals notes of citrus fruit and exotic fruits and wants to dry with pronounced bitterness. The yeast and cereals used in its recipe complete its taste palette with aromatic notes.

Bottle from Morrisons. Amber in colour, with a thin, off-white, head. Sweetish beer, with some candy sugar, floral hops, red berries, yeasty grains and boozy finish. As many have said, an unusual take on IPA, but it went alright with a curry.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear, deep golden with a creamy and lacing off-white head. Very rustic aroma, this appears to be very old school British hops! Medium body, fruity, lightly caramellish with a rustic, dry bitterness. Maybe a little more bitter than the standard Goudale, but qualifying as an IPA it does not. 191017

F: big, bit tan, average retention. C: amber, clear. A: malty, bit tropical fruits, bit tangerine. T: malty back bone, caramel, toast, bit pine, grassy, biscuit, fruity, good bitterness on the palate, medium body and carbonation, not bad but quite prudent IPA, 33cl bottle from Carrefour hypermarket in Hazebrouck, France.
